Shannon graduated from the Illinois School of Health Careers in 2007. After initially working in a hospital and exploring massage therapy on the side, she fully committed to the field in 2018 when she was hired by a chiropractor. This experience sparked her passion for clinical massage, where she began integrating various tools like gua sha, silicone cups, fascia blasters, and Theragun into her sessions to enhance client outcomes.
In 2014 and 2015, Shannon took courses at the Pacific College of Health and Science, studying Kinesiology, Eastern Oriental Theories, Stress Management, and Thai massage. In 2019, she earned her certification in Thai Bodywork from Blue Lotus Thai Healing Studies, where she learned to treat different body types using eastern techniques, herbal compresses, and specialized pressure and stretching methods. She now incorporates these techniques both on the mat and the massage table.
Driven by a curiosity about the body’s patterns, a fascination with new tools and modalities, and a desire to help others, Shannon has thrived in the massage therapy industry.
